i didnt think much at first, with the stick figures, but it got pretty good. i like the hand you did that was followed by a flower and a rocket maybe, i cant remember. but the hand bit was really good and it gets better, nice one keep it up!

J0hnnyR0tt3n responds:

thank you very much.

you really need to fix the sound! the animation and drawing were actually really good, it just seemed crap cos the sound didn't sync with it. Although it was done at a low frame rate, the animatin itself IS really good so don't let the comments get to you. Should be a kinda longer delay between each door opening though, to make the movie's flow more even. Like, story-wise it would make for better timing I think.

As for fixing the sound, well....
all the sound effects should be in separate audio files, and they should be set to "stream" in the flash properties panel. It feels sorta like you've got all the sounds in one big file that plays at a different speed to the movie. If that's the case, then you should set this file to "stream" also and adjust the animation to sync with it.

mayshing responds:

ah, that could be it, it's typical for normal sound designer to do one big flat file that's sync to the film itself, but it doesn't work with flash. That's a good clue.
I had no such problem when all the sounds are separated into different layers. :)

totally crazy amazing art style
theres a bug at the second "play" screen, if you wait too long without pressing play the scarecrow dissapears! (or is this an easter egg? !!!!!)

UnderARock responds:

naw it dissapears :C I just thought hey how many people will wait till this things dissapears

and fuck me, I just realized how awesome you are, sloppy fight 2 was one of the animations that inspired me to animate

I loved the style, brilliant flash!
I just wish you would've added like a 2 second pause between the end and the credits appearing? its like, the action barely finishes and the credits are there!
maybe its a nit pick but it kinda doesnt let the events sink in.
but the style is just crazy and i love it so good job

TheBoogley responds:

True, the end it pretty abrupt, I'll work on easing the movie to a close next time.

man

absolutely brilliant, you managed to capture and make those kids turn alive so damn well. the facial and body expressions were absolutely spot on and it was really just damn.. ARTY how they were on a paper with the video/photo in the background and the high school noises etc... really cool dialogue too, children rock when they're just open like that. i just enjoyed it loads and loads. one of the most original things ive seen in ages, going straight to faves :)

btw, none of the buttons seemed to work for me

tommylm responds:

thanks for the review, that's exactly what I was going for

fixed buttons issue.. damn Actionscript 3

Yeah!

SWiTCH! Man I thought this style was familiar, and then the name Nathan at the end and I was thinking, hmm...
I loved it dude, awesomely done. You really got a story going, the characters and intentions and movement and everything. The first thing I thought was "wow cool colours".
I liked the character design alot, I thought they both really had their own distinct personalities and all.

Glad to see you're still making this stuff keep it up!

SWiTCH responds:

Hey, old buddy!
Thanks for the comment.
I hope you make something new one of these days. :P
